That was a very long ground roll for a 737, I thought. Were the pilots letting it build up a speed margin before lifting off? Or was that thing just damn heavy?

it's called improved climb. You set a very low power setting and let the aircraft store the energy during the long roll and use it for the second segment climb when an engine fails. You rotate aprox @ 3000 ft of runway remaining. Saves the airlines money and is mandatory to meet engine warranty requirements. Thought they just got rid of meals on planes?? They also got rid of the extra pavement. It's legal that is what matters.

Continental, Copa bother very much alike and it being here in Miami, it can be either and we might not know! If the description saids Continental than i suppose the dude that posted the video is correct.

I even recorded take off and landing with my mobile. the plane didn
´t crash. a CRJ is flown by cables, not by wires like a Airbus. but the wires on an Airbus as on every other plane are screened. so electromagnetical waves from outside shouldn´t do any harm.
